ALL MOUNTAIN - DIRECTIONAL

Garantiert kein feiger Fisch!

~Travis Rice

It’s not hype if it’s real.

Went from TRice Pro to the Orca. Wanted something to handle powder a little better in preparation for Niseko. Was a little hesitant at the recommended rider level of intermediate to expert as I consider myself interm. The board was very easy to transition to. Turns are very easy. The only thing made more difficult compared to all mountain is stopping power. I’m 280# and ride the 159cm Orca. No shite 280. If I get on a steep icy slope there are no do-overs. The trailing foot does not stop as well as as on an all mountain board so there is a tendency for that foot to keep going downhill. One great advantage for big boy riders (aren’t many of us) is the set back stance takes some of the weight off of the back leg. As I write this after dinner I’m watching it dump outside my condo in Steamboat. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

Great board

You should get this board I have rode this board in all conditions everything from deep powder, icy runs, cliff drops this board excels at everything. Everything EXCEPT PARK. This board is not made for park. Bindings on this board are set towards the back so landing jumps can be difficult on this board. Other than that this board is fantastic definitely worth buying I have no regrets buying this board If you want a powder board but want to do jumps and shot then get the golden orca If you want a cheaper board then the orca get the Lib Tech Dynamo

top 3 all time boards

I am on my second orca, had the OG blue and just replaced it w then 2021. I remember the first ride on the orca was a little strange coming from a full camber quiver but fell in love after a few turns. As others have said this board does exceptionally well in powder but does crush groomers. Personally I have found that the board likes to have the front binding mounted in the furthest forward inserts which seems counter intuitive to what you'd think for a pow board. After making that adjustment it has taken a dominant spot in my quiver and I never have a bad time on it..

Lived up the the hype!!!

Rode the Orca for the first time last weekend and it definitely lived up to the hype. Very light, poppy board that worked great on the Northeast hardpack. I would definitely recommend it for the intermediate or advanced rider.

Dream Board

Took ot out for the first time a few days ago. I've been wanting an all mountain powder board for awhile and the Orca definitley dominates the hype online and it lived up to every bit of it. Except the concussion I got. It's a killer whale for sure and I cant wait to tame it!
