20 Years of T.Rice Pro
20 Years of The T.Rice Pro; An Uncompromising Pursuit Of Dreams
For twenty years Lib Tech and Travis Rice have collaborated on the highest level of engineering, design and artistic conceptualization to bring to life one of snowboarding's single most storied power freestyle dream boards, the T.Rice Pro. All the tricks, all the terrain from the tops of podiums to the tops of peaks (and brushing the tops of 50 foot pines mid spin) Travis has taken his trusted T.Rice Pro to places no other rider has approached.
Each of the 20 years built on a carefully planned, tweaked and revisited chassis for maximum performance; a bomber directional twin shape, mid widths, hybrid C2 contours and Magne-Traction® steak knife edges. This arrived at perfect recipe is ridden by the man himself straight out of the bag, same as you would pick up at your local shop. The T.Rice Pro has been the canvas for Travis to paint progressive freestyle snowboarding around the globe but also a canvas in and of itself a place for Travis to curate, ideate and bring to life his passion for art and ideas. Each graphic tells a story, each one means something special to Travis and each one was a collaborative process between him and the artist. When we say Travis works on every detail of his boards we mean it so when you see 20 years of T.Rice Pro boards you're seeing 20 years of Travis' passion and vision realized in dream board form.

The 20th Anniversary edition features all of the 20 different works of art featured on the T.Rice Pro bound together and brought to life by artist Toby Grubb into one ultimate power freestyle shred serpent. 20 years of next level snowboarding together in one dream board.

2005/2006
QUINCY QUIGG
"It was Republicans, Democrats, Republicans, W.M.D.s... The news was just so ridiculous, and so we came up with the Donkey-Phant which was an elephant faced donkey firing W.M.D.s out of his ass... This was a super fun way to start the 20 year journey." - Travis Rice

2006/2007
MIKE PARILLO
"This guy (Mike Parillo) was an illusive legend, and if I could have any artist do a board it would be incredible to work with him."
"The theme of this board was anarchy, going against the grain, anarchy in all directions." - Travis Rice

2007/2008
Aaron Draplin
"With Draplin we made all these little buttons, little iconography phrases. A kind of snapshot of what was happening that year." - Travis Rice

2008/2009
Mike Parillo
"Mike is literally just standing at his easel looking out the window, he's like... 'yeah that's cool'... just paints in the full lunar eclipsing blood moon." - Travis Rice

2009/2010
Ryno
"We were hitting a lot of jumps. I mean you gotta remember back then there was no Orca... I had one board that I was riding Air N Style, X-Games, US Open, jibbing on and riding backcountry. This was the first year we had built in the C2; Camber in the tip and tail, Banana between the feet. That was a big year of breakthroughs of being able to lean more forward and stomp in powder. I've kept a similar base profile ever since." - Travis Rice

2010/2011
Mike Parillo
"The theme of this art was - you are what you eat, buy local eat organic."
"This was the first year we started Art of Flight so I got to ride this graphic up in Alaska for the whole opening Alaska scene." - Travis Rice

2011/2012
Mike Parillo
"We (Mike Parillo + Travis) had a lot of conservations around philosophical questions; Are we just made up of chemistry? What influences our actions and reactions? Is it all just chemical based or is there something a little bit further beyond the veil?"
"I think I also had some very bright colorful outwear during the making of Art of Flight... a lot of expressiveness happening." - Travis Rice

2012/2013
Carl Smith
"It was these big collage pieces (by Carl Smith) and then Mikey would come in and paint over them. It was a cool process of working with two different artists, Carl taking the lead on the collage and layout then Mikey coming in and overpainting and really tying the whole piece together." - Travis Rice

2013/2014
Andrew Schoultz
"I told Andrew Schultz this whole story of where we were going to go riding and this was Andrew Schoultz's take on our trip with these volcanic islands and incredible sailing ship." - Travis Rice

2014/2015
Jeff Peters
"We got to the finish line and it was a little bit of a 'Wait... you actually want to do that? I don't know if we have the bandwidth to write a computer program to output a custom board for every board that we make.' That was one of those heart breakers, we got to the finish line but didn't get a fully realized vision. But the graphic was awesome even though we went from 5000 unique graphics to six. Bit of a compromise. Actually we should revisit that..." - Travis Rice

2015/2016
Mike Parillo
"I'm an animal nerd." - Travis Rice

2016/2017
Adam Friedman
"I ended up giving him (Adam Friedman) a few landscape elements from up in Alaska and he did these dimensional planes out of them. I love the way those graphics turned out. Beautiful board line that year." - Travis Rice

2017/2018
Mike Parillo
"Mike Parillo comes through again." - Travis Rice

2018/2019
Mark Dunstan
"We wanted to touch on the theme of the Pioneers of the West." - Travis Rice

2019/2020
Kim Kranz
"Of all the years I think this was the strongest cohesive line of boards we've ever done." - Travis Rice

2020/2021
Mike Parillo
"Wisdom. Sword. All powerful." - Travis Rice

2021/2022
Mike Parillo

"We're talking multidimensionality. What is it to live a fully conscious life and existence." - Travis Rice

2022/2023
Schoph
"Each year I do one benevolent alien board." - Travis Rice

2023/2024
Mike Parillo
"What does it look like the magnetic field around a gravitics engine?"
"I don't know why they gave this guy the ability to go off on a full conspiracy theory tangent wormhole." - Travis Rice

2024/2025
Adam Dryden
"Continuing the benevolent alien board series we put this whole theme together. A lot of symbolism a lot of different elements from current events from TikTok to the TR3B... as a whole Adam really nailed this graphic." - Travis Rice
