Puddle Jumper – Construction ecoIMPACTO 2 Lite

Excited for more Futures board options!

I have an older version of this board in Libtech construction (not FC). Love the board! My only complaint was that I personally don’t really care for the fin boxes I like Futures fins). I’m really excited about this FC version! For anyone looking for info about the board, I can’t speak on this version specifically but as far as the FCS/Freedom Of Choice version goes: it’s definitely a great groveler! I’ve ridden it mainly at beach breaks and reef breaks that catch a lot of wind swell. I feel like it handles choppy conditions well. I’ve surfed it in waves from around knee high to maybe a foot or two overhead. It was hard for me to control and drop in on bigger waves. I like it best in the knee to chest high range. I only ride it as a quad. I tried it as a thruster but it felt really slow and bogged down (I was using same large fins for quad and thruster setups-don’t know if medium fins might have helped for the thruster?). I never tried it as a twin fin. The board is fast and you can definitely do cutbacks, snaps, floaters, etc on it no problem (it’s not a HPSB or anything but still very maneuverable ). And it is very durable! I’ve pulled into lots of shorebreak closeouts and done a lot of other stupid things expecting it to break but it’s still going strong! Also I’m around 5’8, 150-160LBS and I’m riding the 5’3 28L model. I was still able to ride it when I was around 190LBS but it was noticeably harder to paddle out and to paddle into waves.
